MONTEREY, Calif. (BRAIN) — RockShox is showing its long-rumored fat bike fork, the Bluto, at the Sea Otter Classic starting Thursday.
The new fork features the brand's Rapid Recovery rebound, Fast Black aluminum upper tubes, Solo Air spring, 15mm Maxle Lite attachment system, remote or crown adjustable damper, and tapered steerer tube.
The crown, arch and axle are optimized for the increased torsional loads of its wide stance.
The Bluto will be available in 80, 100 or 120 mm travel and will accept tires as big as 26x4.8-inch. It weighs 1,796 grams (3.96 pounds) and will retail for $643, or $711 with a remote lock out. Aftermarket forks will be black, while OE forks will be white or "Defusion Black."
