Published November 19, 2019

AMSTERDAM (BRAIN) — Pon.Bike, which owns Cervélo, Santa Cruz, Gazelle, and other brands, has acquired Urban Arrow, a Dutch electric cargo brand.

Known in the U.S. for its upscale cargo bikes, Urban Arrow also produces electric cargo bikes for the business market, where it provides cargo bikes for last-mile urban deliveries.

Urban Arrow was founded in Amsterdam by Jorrit Kreek and Gerald van Weel and has been in business for ten years.

"Urban Arrow is a fantastic answer with a range of different types of cargo bikes," said Marc Bakker, the CEO of Pon.Bike. "Urban Arrow is a great addition to our portfolio of premium bicycle brands and sustainable concepts," Bakker said.

Pon said Urban Arrow will operate independently within Pon.Bike. The companies did not release a purchase price. Pon.Bike is part of Pon Holdings, a Dutch company active in many industries, including the mobility segment.
