WARWICK, R.I. (BRAIN) — WeeBikeShop is now the U.S. distributor for the Australia-made carbon fiber Zelvy balance bike and Ridgeback UK's line of balance bikes and children's bikes.
The $995 Zelvy balance bike has a carbon frame and fork, a tapered steerer tube, integrated headset, sealed bearings, carbon handlebars, and a mountain bike-style stem.
The first Ridgeback model being launched in the U.S. is the 14-inch Scoot XL balance bikes, designed to fit kids aged 4-to-8, with a 16-to-22-inch seat height range. The Scoot XL weighs less than 12 pounds and retails for $179.95.
In addition to distribution to IBDs, WeeBikeShop operates a small store front in Warwick, R.I. and sells consumer direct via its website. In addition to Zelvy and Ridgeback UK, the company distributes Yedoo and Kundo childrens bikes and balance bikes.
"Our mission is to be a one stop wholesale shopping center for retailers/IBDs looking to stock premium high-end balance bikes in their showrooms or websites," Altinbasak said.
