AMES, IA (BRAIN) — A shipment of KHE tires bound for the U.S. went down with the container ship MOL Comfort, which sunk 200 miles off the coast of Yemen after breaking in half in a storm in June.
KHE's U.S. distributor, Iowa-based Cycle Force Group, said, "KHE tire availability in the U.S. will be scarce. Cycle Force Group is currently reviewing options to rapidly replace this largely pre-sold tire shipment."
The MOS Comfort sank in over 13,000 feet of water in the Arabian Sea, according to the shipping blog QCaptain.
