Electric and cargo bikes highlight Munich show

Published July 29, 2013

MUNICH, Germany (BRAIN) — Electric bikes and cargo bikes were the stars of the ISPO BIKE show held here last week.

Some 5,500 trade visitors attended the show at Munich's expo center and a survey found that 66 percent of visitors said e-bikes and pedelecs were their "top destination" for the show.

Klaus Dittrich, CEP of Messe München, said, "the concentration of ISPO BIKE on e-bikes, pedelecs and everyday urban mobility has been confirmed successfully."

The show featured a special area called CargoVille to display transport bikes and traffic in that area was steady. Over the weekend the show was opened to consumers, with about 4,000 people attending.
