MUNICH, Germany (BRAIN) — Alpen will distribute Hayes Components products in Italy, the companies announced Tuesday.
Bianchi acquired Alpen earlier this year. Hayes Components sells Hayes Disc Brakes, Answer, Sunringlé, Manitou and Wheelsmith products.
"We have a very good relationship with Hayes and spec a number of their products with success at the OE level,” said Fabrizio Casellato, CEO of Alpen and CFO of Bianchi. “We have witnessed their growth in the European region and plan to help them realize their potential.”
“Italy is an important growth market for Hayes,” said Sean McNally, director of European business development for Hayes. “Both Bianchi’s and Alpen’s confidence in our product, combined with their strong Italian heritage and dealer relationships, make this a great fit.”
Hayes opened a European office and distribution center in Munich in 2011 and has been rapidly expanding throughout the region. Hayes GmbH is a subsidiary of the Wisconsin-based Hayes Components. It is responsible for sales and marketing for both the retail and OEM business in the European markets.
