PORTSMOUTH, UK (BRAIN)—Online UK bike retailer Wiggle continues to expand its sales reach with the launch of its website in Russian and Chinese.
Wiggle launched Italian and Portuguese sites in September and its Dutch site in July. The online retailer now runs 10 sites (others are in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese) and has added five more currencies to its payment options, including the Brazilian real, Chinese yuan, Swiss francs, Russian rubles and Taiwanese dollars.
“China and Russia each represent a huge opportunity for Wiggle and we are excited about extending our offering to these important markets,” said Maddy Riordan, Wiggle’s international marketing manager, in a press release. "2011 has been a memorable year in Wiggle’s growth and popularity and we look forward to continuing the trend into 2012."
Wiggle sells to consumers in more than 80 countries worldwide. It started as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop in Portsmouth in 1920.
