UK-brand Forme Bikes reports theft of e-bikes in transit to Italy

Published July 5, 2022

DERBY, United Kingdom (BRAIN) — Forme Bikes reported the theft of e-bikes from a supplier while in transit between its headquarters here and its Italian assembly plant on Friday.

Forme said in a news release the stolen bikes were Bosch-equipped e-bikes that are not yet available at Forme retailers. The bikes were already pre-sold and reserved by consumers, said Forme Bikes communications director Lee Flanaghan.

According to Forme, not all the bikes on the truck were stolen, only the higher-valued models. Models affected were across the leisure and e-MTB lines and included the Alport, Black Rocks, Shottle, Peak Trail, and Repton ranges.

Forme Bikes are sold by more than 300 UK retailers, covering all categories from balance bikes to full-suspension e-MTBs.

"This theft of e-bikes is really sad news for both our retailers and end consumers," Flanaghan said. "We can only apologize for the disappointment this undoubtedly causes."

Anybody with information about the theft is asked to email customer.service@moorelarge.co.uk or call +44 (0) 1332 274242.

The Black Rocks E is among the Forme models stolen.
