Motorcycle expo to include e-bike pavilion

Published June 19, 2019

IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — The 2019 American International Motorcycle Expo, the largest motorcycle trade and consumer show, will include an e-bike pavilion sponsored by Cycle Volta, a new e-bike media title. Cycle Volta is producing the pavilion in cooperation with the Motorcycle Industry Council.

Cycle Volta is a new consumer digital title from Bonnier Motorcycle Group, the publisher of Cycle World, Motorcyclist, Dirt Rider, and Motorcycle Cruiser

The pavilion will include a dedicated area of the convention center floor focused on all things electric, including electric-assist bicycles and motorcycles. It will include vendor booths, test rides, and educational Ted Talk-style discussions. Bonnier Motorcycle Group and AIMExpo also will host an industry and consumer e-bike race during the show.

"With the evolution of electric-powered bicycles and more powersports manufacturers entering the e-bike arena, more retailers are looking to add e-bikes to their showrooms and engage new audiences," said Andre Albert, the director of sales and marketing for MIC Events. "These products create an opportunity to introduce new riders to powersports and are creating a positive impact on the greater powersports industry. It makes sense that our show evolves to showcase this new and growing segment of the market."

The 2019 AIMExpo will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 26-29. More information at
