BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — The Bicycle Product Suppliers Association held its final board meeting here Monday, prior to the group's merger with PeopleForBikes on July 1.
The combined group, the PeopleForBikes Coalition will retain the BPSA board, which will become the BPSA Trade Association Committee within the Coalition. Current BPSA board president Adam Micklin of Felt Bicycles will chair the committee. Brian Benzer of SRAM will be the committee's vice chair.
Micklin also joins the Coalition's board, along with former BPSA board members Bernie Doering of Stages Cycling and Matt Moore of Quality Bicycle Products. BPSA board members Larry Pizzi of Accell North America and Bob Burns of Trek were already on the PeopleForBikes Coalition board and will retain their positions.
"Our collective mission won't change: we're working to get more people riding bikes more often. As always, we're linking this goal to strategies that boost the bike business," PeopleForBikes' president, Tim Blumenthal, said in a letter to members Tuesday.
