BikeSmart to distribute Creme Cycles in US

Published March 24, 2014

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (BRAIN) — BikeSmart Inc. has signed an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Creme Cycles, a line of city bikes designed and built in Poland.

BikeSmart started as the house accessory brand of the Mike's Bikes chain of stores in Northern California. A little less than a year ago, Mike's spun off BikeSmart as a stand-alone, IBD-focused distributor. The company's retailer base has quickly grown to cover more than 120 doors in 23 states and four countries.

Sales director Demi Basiliades said he is thrilled to add Creme Cycles to the BikeSmart family. "Creme is a great lineup of true European city bikes, designed with beautiful details and clean, classic lines. The urban and lifestyle markets are on fire, and Creme offers bikes for these segments that are really special and unique," he said.

The first shipment of bikes lands in the U.S. in April, and BikeSmart is building out the Creme retailer list.

"We're all super excited for the arrival of these bikes," Basiliades said. "There's nothing quite like them in the American market."
