SBS Creates Paperless Option

Published October 30, 2007

SEATTLE, WA (BRAIN)—In an effort to reduce the amount of paper it uses on a monthly basis, Seattle Bike Supply launched a paperless invoicing and statement program. Dealers now have the option to receive e-Invoices and e-Statements.

SBS’ customers can choose to have their invoices and statements sent via the Internet or by fax. Every SBS customer who signs up for e-Invoicing and e-Statements can do more than just make a positive impact on the environment by not using paper or envelopes. E-Invoicing and e-Statements also reduce the risk of mail theft and provide IBDs the opportunity to save and see their documents sooner than standard mail.

“We hope that this move by SBS will not only save a few trees and do our part to eliminate some chemical pollution, but we hope the rest of the bicycle industry will join in and do the same,” said SBS president Chuck Hooper. “Together, we as an industry can make a difference and set a precedent for other industries to follow.”

As a thank you for supporting this system, during the month of November, Seattle Bike Supply will donate $20 in the dealer’s name to their choice of three worthy causes—Bikes Belong, IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) or Safe Routes to School.

To sign up, dealers need to log onto seattlebikesupply.com, click on their “My SBS Account” and go to “Change Options.” Once they’ve made their selection and clicked on the “Submit” tab, the dealer will be given the three choices on where they’d like the $20 donation in their name to be made.
