(BRAIN) — Over the years Bicycle Retailer & Industry News has conducted Dealer Tours in most major markets in the U.S. and Canada, riding bikes from store to store and learning about the market and local cycling community. This week we are on our first retailer tour via e-bikes, visiting shops in the Los Angeles area.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — Taiwanese component giant FSA has launched its first e-bike motor system, called the FSA System. 

The system includes a rear hub motor, a 250Wh battery unit, a 250Wh expansion battery, and an integrated on-bike control unit and smartphone app.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — A year after launching its electronically controlled mountain bike suspension system, Live Valve, Fox Factory has launched a version for e-bikes. The system, being shown at Eurobike this week, uses the Bosch Performance Line CX system with Kiox display.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — The U.S. Department of Interior on Friday said all classes of e-bikes will be regulated as traditional bicycles on non-motorized federal lands. The change will take place within 30 days and primarily affects the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management.
