CARLSBAD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Optical supplier Spy Inc. reported its 11th consecutive quarter of sales growth for Spy brand products and posted an improved net loss for 2013 in year-end results.
SEATTLE (BRAIN) — Specialty outdoor retailer and member co-op REI has reported record annual sales of $2 billion for 2013. According to its year-end earnings statement, the company's sales were up 5.9 percent from $1.9 billion in 2012.
PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — CamelBak's sales for 2013 were $139.9 million, a decrease of $17.7 million compared to its sales of $157.6 million in 2012. Sales of hydration systems fell $17.2 million, and sales of gloves fell $5.5 million, while the company's bottle and accessories sales increased $4.8 million.
MONTREAL (BRAIN) — Dorel reported an increase of 8.3 percent, or 18.8 million, in fourth-quarter revenue across its recreational and leisure division.

MONTREAL, Quebec (BRAIN) — Dorel Industries’ earnings for the fourth quarter and all of 2013 in its recreational and leisure segment — which includes Cannondale, GT, Mongoose, Schwinn and Dorel’s mass-market bike brands — will come in lower than a year earlier due to “a poorer product mix” and late order delivery at Cycling Sports Group, the company announced.
OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN) — Unfavorable weather in Europe and North America was countered by strong sales in China and a growing service parts business in all markets to drive Shimano’s sales 10 percent higher in 2013 to $2.68 billion (271.037 billion yen).
