Bike sales through outdoor retailers also weak

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Sales of outdoor products fell 1.7 percent in May compared to the same month last year, according to the Outdoor Industry Association VantagePoint report.

NEWBURY PARK, CA (BRAIN) — Mike Abrams is joining Giant USA as East Region sales manager, the company announced Tuesday. Abrams was previously the Eastern Region sales manager for Jamis and prior to that was with Specialized for about a decade.

EMERYVILLE, CA (BRAIN) — Capo Cycling Apparel has named industry veteran Jay Thomas vice president of sales. Thomas joins the clothing brand from Midwest Cycling, a chain of six Trek concept stores he co-founded in Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. He starts with Capo on July 1.
