Schiphol-Rijk, Amsterdam: Yamaha Motor Europe has launched its new Yamaha eBike Systems Service platform to streamline and enhance its aftersales support. This initiative supports its ambition to become a center of excellence for eBike drive units and system customers, as well as their dealers. After a trial phase that started in February 2025, the platform is now accessible to all official dealers of Yamaha drive units and systems-equipped eBikes across France.
Bicycle shops can access a wealth of resources, including the latest training materials, support manuals, spare parts ordering, warranty claims management, and direct technical support. The intention is to roll out the programme to other EU countries once the platform proves to work seamlessly within Yamaha's commitment to create a closer connection to its customers.
The platform is centred around four key areas – Technical Support, eBike System Warranty, Replacement Parts and Training – providing dealers with fast and effective assistance via locally-based teams.
Technical Support
Yamaha's Technical Support teams will provide agile and optimised guidance to dealers of Yamaha drive units and systems-equipped eBikes, offering speedy fault diagnosis, creation of pre-delivery inspection reports, and individual repair records and registrations. Checking the latest error codes and technical data for eKit components and instant access to manuals and part books of Yamaha eBike system components is also available.
eBike System Warranty
Yamaha's Technical Support teams are trained to respond quickly and keep parties fully informed if a warranty claim occurs. A diagnostic report can be rapidly generated and submitted to the eBike manufacturer along with a warranty request. With a fast and streamlined service, from initial claim to final approval, Yamaha ensures a seamless warranty process while providing immediate access to all eBike systems specifications, including search functions for drive units, displays, batteries, and components.
Replacement Parts
Yamaha is committed to offering the broadest and most efficient replacement parts for its eBike system components. The replacement parts are distributed throughout Europe from two strategically chosen locations in the Netherlands and France. This ensures a swift and reliable service, with 24-48 hour delivery from the central Schiphol-Rijk location.
Training
The Yamaha Motor Academy continuously trains dealers with a wide range of impactful and engaging courses covering all aspects of eBike drive units, batteries, servicing, and diagnostics. These are available both online as well as through exciting, practical in-person workshops in various locations.
The state-of-the-art platform of the Yamaha Motor Academy gives easy and 24/7 access to online training materials via PC or smartphone, ensuring that dealers can stay up to date with the latest advancements and can benefit from Yamaha's unrivalled eBike systems experience.
Rob De Vries, Department Manager Service eBike Systems of Yamaha Motor Europe, said: "We believe that a premium-quality product deserves a premium-quality experience — not just at the time of purchase, but also in service. With the launch of the Yamaha eBike Systems Service Platform in France, we are taking the first of many steps towards excellence in eBike system assistance, strengthening our commitment to quality and both customer and dealer satisfaction in the industry."
