Portland, OR – October 5th, 2023 - Chris King Precision Components has announced the date for their annual Open House showcase. With the recent MADE Bike Show in Portland featuring the bike builder community, this year's Open House will focus on outdoor lifestyle brands and available-at-retail bike lines.

King Events Coordinator Jay SyCip said, "We make bike parts, and the natural thing for us to do at our house show is feature bikes with our parts on them. This year, we're going a step further, by promoting the companies and ideas that get us out into nature and keep us there. What we know is that people who love to ride in nature also love to hike, camp, fish, ski, snowboard, etc. This Open House will speak to bike riders who are outdoors people, and those who are ready to expand their idea of what it means to be a bike rider."

Attendees should expect to see camping vehicles and equipment, outdoor gear, bike accessories, footwear, and of course a selection of bikes with a special emphasis on gravel riding, mountain bikes, bikepacking and all-around adventure.

SyCip continued, "We just had a great builder show here in Portland, so as a follow up, we wanted to have an outdoor adventure showcase featuring Chris King'd out production bikes, which so many of our retailers offer. This feels like a good way to support their whole business and remind the world that King's components are smart upgrades for production bikes too."

Exhibitors, including Subaru, Super Pacific, Outside Van, Goal Zero, Pendleton, Smith Optics, Orvis, Snow Peak, Danner, MULE Expedition Outfitters, Scout Campers, Benchmark, Dometic, Hest, Ignik, Grayl, Hillsound, Speedland, Old Man Mountain, SimWorks, Ortlieb, and many others.

Many of the brands will be conducting clinics throughout the day on a range of topics relevant to their expertise. Some Chris King retail partners, including Fat Tire Farm (PDX), Cyclepath (PDX) and Velosmith (CHI) will be showing bikes from Yeti, Santa Cruz, Juliana, Orbea, Evil, Ibis, Moots, and Seven Cycles.

The 2023 Chris King Open House will be October 21st at the legendary Chris King factory in Northwest Portland. In addition to dozens of bikes and outdoor exhibitors, HotLips Pizza and Hop Works Urban Brewery will be there with ample food and drink, a staple of Chris King events.
