Upstart Canadian e-bike brand engages SIMBOL for media relations to foster continued expansion of brand recognition/retailer base in US, Canada

Quebec, Canada (January 26, 2023) — Building on strong early success, Canada-based Wolff E-Bikes – makers of a wide range of high-value commuter/hybrid e-bikes – is redoubling its efforts to build consumer and retailer base in the US and Canada; to help this effort, they've hired the longtime cycling/active lifestyle industry insiders at SIMBOL Communications to handle PR and other select marketing strategies. Wolff products are sold exclusively through select retailers and are already available at over 130 dealers across North America.

Founded in November 2020, Wolff E-Bikes is a passion project from founders Allan Kruger and Nick Vouloumanos to support their strong conviction that e-transportation is the future for North America and beyond. Addressing what they see as a void in the otherwise crowded e-bike market, they focus on producing high-quality, purpose-built, long-lasting e-bikes, in the popular $1500 to $3000 price range.

To that end, all 25 Wolff models for 2023 are Class 2 (throttle and pedal assist) and feature reliable Shimano and SRAM drivetrain components mounted on rugged-yet-stylish frames. Standard accessories like Tektro disc brakes, LED color displays, integrated front/rear lighting, seat post suspension, tool-free-adjustable handlebars, and racks/fenders are also included on nearly all models. The individual families are carefully designed to serve a wide variety of riders/purposes, and each family comes in various models – including multiple wheel/tire size options, step-thru and triangle frame options, etc. – to serve the financial and utilitarian needs of individual consumers.

"This, along with the strongest focus on after-sales service and fully stocked replacement components, have helped the brand see major growth in just over two years," says Allan Kruger, President and CEO. "In fact, we've already outgrown two facilities and will be moving into our new 43,000 square foot headquarters this March. Our retailers and consumers really appreciate our high-value products – it's rare to find quality like ours, especially when combined with so many standard essential features, at this price range."

"We're confident SIMBOL Communications – with their wealth of experience, huge media and industry network, and deep knowledge of bikes and the bike industry – is the ideal PR partner to help further fuel our targeted growth across North America."

A few of their representative models include:

Utopia (USD$2299): Wolff's most comfortable and versatile folding e-bike features a 500W Jiabo motor and mag wheels with fat, puncture-resistant tires for greater stability and increased versatility. Fold/unfold this beauty in seconds and you're ready to go, whether it's out for an adventure or into your home or office.

Ursa ST (USD$2499): With a higher handlebar placement, the Ursa is the epitome of the laid back, easy-riding cruiser bike, with five levels of assistance and a 500W rear-drive Bafang motor. Also available in fat-tire Ursa Major and Ursa Major ST models.

Pegasus (USD$2299; March release): With its smoothness, technical sophistication, ease of peddling and elegant design, Pegasus lets people know you have arrived – and you'll arrive quickly and comfortably with the efficiency of a 350W mid-drive motor with thumb throttle, torque sensor, disc brakes and lightweight, comfortable frame.

SIMBOL will be executing a range of PR and marketing strategies aimed at building brand recognition and increasing the retailer base. "This should be a relatively easy one for us, because the bikes are so well made and full featured, especially in this price range," says Scott Boulbol, Co-Founder. "We just need to help get the name out there, and the bikes will sell themselves!"
