"Our goal is to deliver a safe and spectacular event, which showcases Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas as a tourism destination, to provide value to all of the key stakeholders, and to create world-class experiences and memories for the athletes, spectators, and fans across the world."

Medalist Sports and Experience Fayetteville will work together to ensure a safe and
welcoming event for all riders, teams and spectators as well as the ongoing logistics of both events.

The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup will be held Oct. 13 at Centennial Park in Fayetteville. Also being held at Centennial Park, the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships are slated for Jan. 28-30, 2022. This will be only the second time the Championships have been held in the United States, and the event is estimated to have a total global audience of 52 million viewers, according to UCI.

Rob DeMartini, President and CEO of USA Cycling, said, "USA Cycling has a long and productive history of working with Medalist Sports so we're very pleased to see them manage both the UCI Cyclocross World Cup and World Championships. We're confident Medalist is the right partner to deliver everything that's expected for these world-class events."

The UCI World Championships weekend will be part of a multi-day festival for both new fans and diehard cyclo-cross spectators from around the world. The race will be the pinnacle of a weekend filled with activities and events that showcase Northwest Arkansas.

"Medalist Sports is known for its experience in organizing major cycling events, including the 2015 UCI Road World Championships in Richmond, Virginia," UCI President, David Lappartient. "We look forward to working with a strong partner again, and together with organizer Experience Fayetteville we will build on the work already done to successfully deliver the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup round next October and the 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships, the second in the history of the discipline in the United States, known as a stronghold for cyclo-cross.
