The Van Raam Chat trishaw was designed specifically for the Cycling Without Age chapters throughout the world. As the North American distributor of the Van Raam products, including the Chat, Spinov8 Distribution has partnered with Cycling Without Age to promote the movement and the Chat through its Van Raam Dealers throughout the USA and Canada.
With a goal of selling 100 Chats and having a portion of the proceeds supporting Cycling Without Age, the Van Raam Dealers will enjoy exclusive sales privileges in North America. These will be sales with a purpose, as they promote a worldwide program that's bringing the joy of cycling to those who no longer can.
The primary goal of the program is to improve the lives of aging adults by getting them outside and back into the community, engaging in life by riding on a bike. According to Ole Kassow, CWA's founder, the program gives its participants a greater "sense of belonging." It's also a way for the younger generations who volunteer to connect with and learn from older generations.
In this time of a worldwide pandemic, CWA has become a solution to social isolation and the inherent loneliness that plagues the elderly, especially those in residential care homes and retirement communities. Trishaw rides bring inspiration and good cheer to residents, and the people who experience these rides subsequently need less medicine, get better sleep, have fewer conflicts and better appetites, they feel very much alive.
