CARLSBAD, CA, 6 JANUARY 2020 — Canyon USA, the US division of the world's most innovative bicycle company, Canyon Bicycles GmbH, has added four new team members.

Vernon Felton Bike Product Director and Global MTB Marketing Manager, Scott Hart U.S. Brand Manager, Jaclyn Mayer Marketing Events Manager and Tony Smith Service Course/Demo Program Head Mechanic.

Vernon Felton is responsible for Canyon USA Bike Development and acts as the global MTB Marketing Manager for Canyon Bicycle GmbH. Vernon brings over twenty years of success raising the profile of brands, most recently as Global MTB Marketing Manager for Specialized Bicycle Components. As former editor-in-chief of Bike Magazine and technical editor at Pinkbike, Vernon's creativity and technical proficiency produced some of the cycling industry's most successful content.

"The Canyon brand is focused on innovation and the consumer experience to inspire riders to ride," said Blair Clark, President of Canyon Bicycles USA. "Vernon's technical reviews for a variety of publications set the high bar by focusing on the engineering and design execution to fulfill an intended rider experience. Vernon's analytical skills, riding experience and holistic purposefully-built perspective will make a significant contribution to Canyon's continued disruption of the industry's status quo."

Scott Hart joins Canyon USA as Marketing Brand Manager and brings a strong mountain bike media and brand background with award-winning work for Red Bull Media House, WD-40, SRAM and RockShox. Scott will be managing North American content creation, athletes and all other brand-related activities, and will coordinate media relations with Canyon USA's PR agency of record TRUE Communications.

"Scott harnesses a broad view of how to effectively promote cycling," said Devin Riley Canyon USA Marketing Director. "As a former RockShox Product Manager with a remarkably diverse athletic career, including being one of the first athletes to do the Red Bull Rampage, as well as racing cyclocross and road, Scott will help us across all segments of our sport. With a degree in Cognitive Marketing (which focuses on the mind behind messages to create brand loyalty), he also has a strong creative blend of media and marketing to help Canyon cultivate the future of our diverse cycling cultures."

Jaclyn Mayer joins Canyon USA as Marketing and Events Manager, bringing a well-rounded marketing and event management background that includes several years as the operational mastermind behind the Belgian Waffle Ride, as well as program management at NBC's Comic Con, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and PowerBar.

"We are super excited to apply Jaclyn's expertise to our ambitious 2020 schedule of nearly 50 local and nationwide events that will include three demo trucks and over 150 demo bikes," said Riley. As Canyon continues to rapidly grow our US business, Jaclyn will help escalate our overall customer experience."

Tony Smith will be Head Mechanic responsible for Canyon USA's demo bike fleet and domestic service course while developing the protocol procedures for our mechanics to follow in order to ensure top-level performance of each bicycle at all events. Tony brings over 27 years of experience as a professional mechanic, previously working with the Rapha Focus cyclocross race team.

"We are blessed to attract the talents of Tony, as well as Vernon, Scott and Jaclyn. They will help us continue our momentum to reinvent the cycling customer journey by putting the customer first, being responsive, transparent and authentic to our cycling roots," said Clark.

Felton will report to Clark, President of Canyon USA, while working simultaneously with Canyon GmbH's Marketing Director Simon Summerscales in Koblenz, Germany. Hart, Mayer and Smith will work directly with USA Marketing Director Devin Riley in the brand's Carlsbad office.
