(Lexington, SC and Lévis, QC) — December 3, 2019 — Sprindex, a new invention from the minds of the original founders of Crankbrothers, with inspiration from freeride legend Richie Schley, is proud to announce that HLC will be handling distribution across North America.

The inspiration for the product was born from the simple question asked by Schley after a long Laguna ride two years back: "Why can't there be an adjustable coil?" As had happened with the eggbeater pedal development years earlier, a simple question led to the project that became Sprindex.

While air shocks are infinitely adjustable, coil shocks provide a premium, high-performance rider experience when set up correctly. However, without the ability to adjust the weight of the coil, it is nearly impossible to achieve the optimum performance for the rider weight, style and conditions.

The Sprindex system consists of a high-tensile steel replacement coil that includes the Sprindex adjustment mechanism for on-the-fly indexing with 5-pound increments. No tools required.

"With the renaissance of coil shocks, Sprindex is perfect for the current market,” says HLC Senior Product Manager Matt Wheeler. “The ability to adjust spring rate on the fly will be incredibly helpful for the many riders who are choosing coil shocks."

Sprindex is available in 3 different lengths to fit nearly all mountain bike coil shocks on the market. MSRP is $140 and products are available through HLC at bike retailers across North America.
