Berd LLC, a Minnesota spoke manufacturing company started by three engineers and avid cyclists, sells the world's lightest bicycle spokes. Because the spokes are made of an advanced polymer, they are less than half the weight of high-end metal spokes and produce a smoother ride by damping road vibrations. Berd spokes have better fatigue life than metal spokes. They outperform metal spokes in all disciplines from downhill mountain biking to criteriums.

When ordering individual spokes, Berd spoke lengths should be calculated with Berd's online spoke calculator prior to ordering.
