LINCOLN, Neb. (BRAIN) — Trek Bicycle has acquired The Bike Race, a two-store chain in Lincoln and Omaha.
Former store owner Jim Carveth announced the sales on its Facebook page early Wednesday.
“Now celebrating our 50th anniversary, we mark the beginning of a new chapter. We are excited to announce that The Bike Rack has been sold to our partner, Trek Bicycle,” Carveth wrote.
“Nebraska is blessed with an amazing and growing cycling community, and we are confident Trek will continue to serve and support our communities in even bigger and better ways.”
Carveth’s post said the stores will be closed July 11-22 for remodeling.
