WATERLOO, Wis. (BRAIN) — Trek Bicycle will donate $75,000 to several regional LGBTQIA+ organizations and host national Pride Ride events on June 27. More than 78 Trek Bicycle Stores in 25 cities are participating with some hosting the rides.

Each participating Trek Bicycle Store will give the store's donation to an LGBTQIA+ organization of its choice. Organizations that shops already have pledged to include Stonewall Columbus, Utah Pride Center, and OUTMemphis.

"Bikes are for everyone, and we want to create a community and a sport where all people feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated," said Eric Bjorling, Trek's brand director. "This event is for everyone who shares a passion for riding and enjoys one of the best things on earth — a bike ride with friends on a beautiful summer day."

Pre-registration is not required to participate in the Pride Ride; go to the Trek website to view the list of locations. Participating Trek Bicycle Stores also will provide more information about the start time, route, and start/finish line. Participants also will receive a 2021 Trek Pride Ride T-shirt, featuring the 13-color Pride rainbow flag, while supplies last.
