FREMONT, Calif. (BRAIN) — CentriPEDAL, a store that Cali James Rardin opened in 2012 that had outgrown its original 2,400 square foot location, has re-opened as a 5,000 square foot Giant Partner Store next door to its original location.
"We have a beautiful store, which my wife [and co-owner] Karin and I are extremely proud of," Rardin said in a statement provided by Giant.
The Rardins partnered with the Giant Retail Services team in the design and build-out of their new space. Paint themes, messaging and signage are unique to the business, yet still highlight the Giant, Liv, and Momentum brands. The Giant Partner Store designation means CentriPEDAL Bikes devotes about 80% of its floor space to Giant, Liv, and Momentum bikes and gear.
"This is another great example of the Giant Partner Store relationship," said Mike Stewart, Giant's Account Executive for the region. "CentriPEDAL was already very successful with our brands before James and Karin decided to move into a bigger space. Their business model and our connection worked so well that when it was time to expand, it was the clear choice for us to help them step up to the next level."
The store held a grand opening weekend Nov. 12-13. Giant supplied countless gear items for raffle prizes, as well as an Escape 2 bicycle that was won by one lucky customer. A Giant Lifestyle van provided dozens of demo rides on several 2017 Giant, Liv, and Momentum bicycles, and Giant athlete Jeff Lenosky performed two mountain bike trials shows.
