SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Timbuk2 is opening its first stores in New York, opening first in Manhattan on Oct. 15 followed by a Williamsburg, Brooklyn, store opening in November.
"With two stores, we are creating an inviting space where people can lock up their bikes, put their bags down, create a truly personalized bag, and not only educate themselves on the products, but on life on a bike. Our stores are our way of showing our commitment and dedication to the city cycling culture in both Manhattan and Brooklyn," said CEO Patti Cazzato.
The grand openings will include giveaways, next-day delivery options of custom bags, and an old-bag turn-in promotion.
The Manhattan store is in the NoHo neighborhood at 325 Lafayette Street. The Williamsburg store is at 214 Berry Street.
