COSTA MESA, Calif. (BRAIN) — The National Bicycle Dealers Association is accepting submissions for its Supplier Scorecard program, which allows independent bicycle dealers to rate their suppliers. Dealers can now grade companies from “A” to “F” on 30 different business categories such as product availability, on-time shipping, order accuracy, sustainable margins, IBD channel support, control of distribution, warranty support and product quality.
The program aims to enable IBDs to make better-informed decisions on whom to do with business with and to give brand managers feedback from their customers. At the 2014 Interbike Expo in Las Vegas, the highest-ranking suppliers received awards during the Interbike Awards Ceremony.
The current round of scorecard submissions ends Dec. 31. Only independent, brick-and-mortar bicycle dealers can participate. Average grades of suppliers will be made public, brands will be able to purchase detailed reports on themselves and the marketplace, and the identities of dealers who take part in the program will be kept confidential.
To submit scorecards, dealers can visit nbdasupplierscorecard.com, click on “Not Registered?”, create an account, register, log in and begin to rate as many vendors as they’d like. At any time dealers can return to the site to rate additional companies.
For more details, dealers can visit the About Supplier Scorecard Page on nbda.com.
Suppliers seeking updates on the program’s progress can fill out the Supplier Scorecard Information Form to be added to the information list.
