Colorado brewer/bike maker opening cantina/bike shop

Published September 5, 2013

LONGMONT, CO (BRAIN) — Colorado brewer Oskar Blues, which also owns a small custom bike brand, Reeb, is opening a combination restaurant and bike retail space here later this year.

"The CyclHOPS Bike CAN-tina" will offer tequila and Southwestern food combinations along with craft beer and custom bikes.

“We wanted to create an original cycling-inspired hangout and compliment the bike culture of Longmont and the Front Range of Colorado,” said Jason Rogers, Oskar Blues’ chef. “It’s a creative Rocky Mountain-Biker-Chef take on a taqueria menu with a mix of quality tequilas and beer that really add to the craft-inspired elements of Reeb Cycles and Oskar Blues beer.”

The cantina will seat up to 300 people and offer 20 craft beers on tap as well as 43 premium tequilas.

The location, on the west side of Longmont near the intersection of Airport and Nelson Roads, will include a full-service bike shop and retail location for Reeb Cycles.

Reeb (which is "Beer" spelled backwards) bikes are built by local welder Chris Sulfrian. Reeb offers four models: a gravel grinder, a fat bike, and steel and titanium mountain bikes. Each model is spec'd with a Gates Carbon Drive drivetrain.
