Specialized recalls Haul ST and LT e-bikes because of faulty seatposts

Published June 5, 2025

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Specialized Bicycle Components is recalling about 11,000 Globe Haul ST and LT e-bikes because the lower portion of the 13-inch telescopic seatpost can break when fully extended.

Owners should stop using these e-bikes and contact an authorized Specialized retailer for a new seatpost made from a different material. "Haul ST" and "Haul LT" are printed on the downtube.

Thirteen incidents have been reported, including two riders suffering scrapes and bruises.

The e-bikes were sold at bike stores and authorized Specialized retailers nationwide and online from January 2023 through March 2025 for between $2,500 and $3,500.
