WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Reyhee Group is recalling about 400 Droyd multi-purpose youth helmets because they don't meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety standards and can fail to protect in the event of a crash.
The recalled helmets don't comply with positional stability, retention system, impact, labeling, and certification requirements. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
They were sold in sizes medium and large, are black, with black padding, black straps, and a black buckle. "DROYD" is printed on the back. Model and serial number are located on the label inside the helmet (e.g. "DHM000001" or "DHL000001").
Consumers should stop using the recalled helmets and contact Reyhee for a refund. To receive a refund, cut the straps off and submit two photos: one with both straps cut off and another with the helmet and cut straps inside of a trash can. The photos along with name and address should be emailed to Reyhee Group at support@droyd.com. Reyhee Group is contacting all purchasers directly.
Reyhee Group also can be reached at 800-333-3729 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
The Droyd helmets were sold online at Droyd.com from October 2023 through July 2024 for about $40.
