PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Portland Design Works is offering free bracket upgrades for its Dave's Mud Shovel Rear Fat Bike Fenders after determining quality control issues on the most recent production run.
The affected brackets have a snap-together assembly design that can become brittle and break, especially at very cold temperatures. Free upgrade brackets are available that offer a stronger construction design, using four Phillips screws that hold the bracket together.
Retailers with Dave's Mud Shovels Rear Fender in stock with the affected brackets are encouraged to contact PDW directly for the brackets. Distributors have their stock of Dave's Mud Shovels Rear Fender on hold through the end of January, when PDW will provide them with upgrade brackets to ship with fender orders.
For more information or to request replacement brackets, contact PDW sales manager Matt Cittadini at matt@ridepdw.com or (503) 234-7257.
