Shock makers go metric

Published March 31, 2016

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Six major shock makers announced on Thursday that they would each begin listing their rear shock fittings and lengths in metric rather than imperial units.

Cane Creek, DVO, Manitou, RockShox, SR Suntour and Fusion have each agreed to make the change, according to RockShox's Duncan Riffle. Fox Factory was notably missing from the list of participants announced by Riffle.

"Each of the brands involved in this will announce their specific plans separately according to their own product release timing schedule. We are excited to be a part of this and for the improvements it will bring to suspension products and bicycles in the near future, which have been broadly recognized throughout our industry," Riffle said.
