CORTEZ, Colo. (BRAIN) — Osprey Packs will offer hydration packs with two new reservoir models designed and manufacturered by Hydrapak. Osprey also will offer the reservoirs separately beginning with its Spring 2016 collection.
The Osprey Hydraulics by Hydrapak system includes two reservoir models – Hydraulics and Hydraulics LT.
The reservoirs feature a carry handle to allow easier bladder handling and filling, a pour shield to allow easy filling and emptying, a top-opening slider, the Hydrapak Blaster Bite Valve, a quick-connect hose and a hose & sternum strap magnet to manage the drinking hose.
The Hydraulics reservoir, ideal for large volume packs and long duration activities, will be available in 2 liter and 3 liter volumes and include Osprey's Hydrostatic backerplate for easy pack loading and maintaining a flat profile.
The Hydraulics LT version, available in 1.5 liter and 2.5 liter volumes, includes twin baffles to stabilize water and maintain a flat profile. The LT reservoirs are lightweight and flexible for small volume packs or light and fast activities.
"A durable, high quality reservoir is expected from each brand," said Osprey's Chris Horton. "But with both Hydrapak and Osprey Pack's design teams collaborating, we had the opportunity to create new innovative, user focused design details that solidifies them as the best pack reservoirs on the market."
