EAST BURKE, Vt. (BRAIN) — The 20th annual New England Mountain Bike Association Festival (NEMBAfest), held June 16-18 at the Kingdom Trails in Vermont, saw registration jump 24 percent to bring in a record 7,100-plus riders over the festival’s three days, organizers said.
NEMBAfest, Powered by Pedro’s, is presented by the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA) and the Kingdom Trails Association in partnership with the Wildflower Inn, featuring an expo area with bike and product demos right next to the Kingdom Trails, group rides, mountain bike skills clinics, family activities, camping, live music and more.
The organizers said this year’s festival also brought in more campers, families and vendors than ever before. Next year’s NEMBAfest is set for June 22-24, 2018.
“We try to keep this event near the solstice so we can enjoy the longest days of summer riding our mountain bikes, and this means that next year’s NEMBAfest will be the week after Father’s Day weekend when most kids are out of school,” NEMBA director Philip Keyes said.
Vendors interested in participating in next year’s NEMBAfest can contact Keyes at 800-576-3622 or pk@nemba.org.
