Bicycling magazine announces its Editors' Choice Award winners

Published May 1, 2017

EMMAUS, Pa. (BRAIN) — Bicycling recently announced its annual Editors' Choice Awards for road and mountain bikes. The award winners for the best road bikes will be featured in Bicycling's June issue (on newsstands May 9); the best mountain bikes will be in the July issue (on newsstands June 6).

The winners were selected from 112 nominees in the road bike category and 57 in the mountain bike category. Bicycling editors used the following criteria to determine the winners: (1) nominations from editors based on bikes tested in the previous year; (2) characteristics such as value, class-leading technology, and performance; and (3) evaluation of 41 road bike finalists and 28 mountain bike finalists during two weeklong sessions in Healdsburg, California, and Bentonville, Arkansas.

"We're seeing that bicycles across every category are more versatile and better performing than ever," said Bicycling's editor-in-chief, Leah Flickinger. "All of our Editors' Choice winners are truly best-in-class, and we're excited to recommend them to cyclists."
