SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (BRAIN) — Küat Racks is working with the National Forest Foundation to fulfill its pledge to plant 40,000 trees this year.

“At Kuat we are fortunate to have experienced success which has allowed us the opportunity to give back,” said Luke Kuschmeader, the co-founder and CEO of Küat Racks.

The plantings will take place in the Flathead National Forest in Montana. Planters will target areas devastated by recent fires that serve as habitat for grizzly bears, gray wolves, black bears, moose and elk.

This year’s efforts will build upon the 71,500 trees already planted by Küat’s Future Forest Initiative in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (2016) and 21,000 trees planted in the Sierra National Forest (2015).
