Published March 6, 2017

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (BRAIN) — The North American Handmade Bicycle Show will donate $1 from the sale of each admission ticket at next week's show to the Trips For Kids Initiative.

Since 1988, Trips For Kids has helped disadvantaged kids discover the joy of mountain biking.

"At Trips for Kids, we believe in the transformative power of the bicycle," the organization said in a statement. "TFK has been helping children reach their full potential by engaging, empowering and educating youth through our cycling programs for over 30 years. We are thrilled to be partnering with NAHBS in 2017 to get more children on bikes and are excited to celebrate handmade bicycles and the people who make them at this year's North American Handmade Bike Show."

Don Walker, president of NAHBS, said, "I really enjoy working with Trips for Kids. We've worked with them in the past, and it's a great feeling helping them make a difference in the local community."

NAHBS takes place this year in Salt Lake City, March 10-12. Tickets are available at nahbs.com.
