BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — SmartEtailing has hired Bryan Smith as its national campaigns manager. Smith will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns for major brands through the SmartEtailing retailer network.

Smith comes to SmartEtailing after co-founding The Feed, an e-commerce platform focused on sports nutrition for athletes. Prior to that, he worked in e-commerce and digital marketing at Slipstream Sports, the managing company for the Cannondale-Drapac Pro Cycling Team.

"I'm thrilled to join SmartEtailing and work on developing this exciting new way for independent retailers and brands to partner in marketing. I think the online channel will continue to be the starting point in the bike buying process, and at SmartEtailing I get to help local retailers leverage their brand partnerships to attract and inform customers in their local markets."

SmartEtailing provides website, marketing and data solutions to help independent bicycle retailers, cycling suppliers and cycling brands sell more product in-store and online. Earlier this year the company merged with a marketing firm and is rapidly expanding marketing services.

SmartEtailing president Ryan Atkinson said, "Bryan is an innovative entrepreneur with experience in retail and e-commerce. Bryan understands the challenges and opportunities of the modern bicycle retail marketplace. He knows how to effectively communicate with brand managers to help them understand the value of distributing marketing through their IBD partners."

SmartEtailing is in the process of finalizing a new responsive website platform for retailers and reinvesting in their fundamental technology infrastructure. Starting in January, Smith will begin reaching out to brands to discuss marketing partnerships for the 2017 season.
