PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Keen Footwear has hired industry veteran Casey Sheahan as its next president. Sheahan succeeds outgoing president Steve Meineke, who will retire in mid-November and remain a Keen Advisory Council member.

"We are thrilled to bring on such an experienced and respected leader to help meet the demands of our growing business and to perpetuate our values," said Meineke, who has been with Keen three years. Meineke is also a former Accell North America and Specialized executive.

Sheahan began his career as the editor and publisher of Powder magazine, later joining Nike, Merrell, Kelty and then Patagonia, where he was president and CEO before retiring in 2014.

Since retiring from Patagonia, Sheahan has been serving on several advisory boards across the outdoor industry, including Keen.
