TUCSON, Ariz. (BRAIN) — Australia-based Verve Cycling, the designer and manufacturer of the InfoCrank power meter, is now distributing the InfoCrank in North America in partnership with the Endurance Sports Group LLC. ESG's Paul Thomas will be heading up sales and marketing in the U.S. and Canada.
The InfoCrank is used by British Cycling and Team Great Britain. The UCI World Cycling Centre has also adopted the InfoCrank.
"We were searching for a partner in the USA who understood the cycling culture here while having the same commitment to truth in numbers that Verve has. With ESG we have finally found one," said Bryan Taylor, the resident of Verve Cycling.
Matt Pobloske, the managing director of Endurance Sports Group, said, "we have a broad background in precision measurement and sensing and were impressed the very first time we saw the InfoCrank's data and performance attributes. Our road trials over the early part of 2016 and the professionalism of the Verve company gave us the foundation that we needed to take this step. We are committed to making the InfoCrank available to the North American cycling and triathlon communities, along with incredible customer support."
Verve Cycling had already established a global customer service division in the U.S. and has distributed the InfoCrank through its online store and through a small number of affiliates – coaches and bike stores. This will continue but be expanded over the coming year., the company said.
