NEW BOSTON, N.H. (BRAIN) — Anomaly Action Sports, the parent of Shred Optics and Slytech Protection, has hired Jeff Gilberti for the newly-created position of executive vice president of business development.
Gilberti, a veteran of the bike and snow sports industries, will direct Anomaly's North American sales efforts and work closely with its board on strategic decisions related to product development, marketing, sales, business strategy and execution.
"What drew me to Anomaly's Shred and Slytech brands is their focus on developing best-in-class technologies and their mission to create an outstanding, customer-focused operation," said Gilberti. "I was compelled to join this great young company because of the spirit, drive, and commitment of each of the individuals in the organization."
Most recently Gilberti served as senior vice president at Fox Head. He also held senior positions at Toms Eyewear, Burton Snowboards' Anon Optics and RED Helmet divisions, Spy Optics, and Smith Optics.
"We couldn't be more excited to add Jeff to our team of executives," said Anomoly co-founder and chairman Ted Ligety. "His experience and knowledge of our space are incredible."
Anomoly co-founder and CEO Carlo Salmini said, "There could not be a better time for Jeff to be joining our company. We have an amazing plan that will set us apart and we look forward to Jeff's contribution to make Shred and Slytech the brands of the future."
At next week's Interbike show, Shred will be debut three new helmets using the company's patented Infinite R.A.A. system, which the company said minimizes the effects of rotational accelerations to the head during impact. It will also introduce new eyewear designs and protective gear.
