NAMPA, Idaho (BRAIN) — Deity has hired Sean "Griz" McClendon as the brand's North American sales and grass-roots team manager.
McClendon has background as a professional rider and headed the bike division for Maxima Lubricants before resigning from that company at the end of July.
With a focus on evolving the Deity Grassroots Team Program, McClendon will also be mentoring a list of up-and-coming talent in the downhill, enduro and dirt jump disciplines, the company said.
"We've had a longtime relationship with Griz for ages, and we have closely watched as he consistently pushed himself out of his comfort zone in this industry and always did it with a high level of energy, focus and preparation. Without a doubt, he will be a key part of Deity moving forward and we are excited to welcome him to our elite family," said Deity's owner, Eric Davies.
"I am excited to jump in the trenches with Deity's IBD network and amazing roster of Grassroots riders. Nearly everyone in this industry wishes they could work for Deity and I am beyond honored to be here to propel the company to the next level," McClendon said.
