Published August 24, 2016

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Donna Carpenter, the CEO of Burton Snowboards, will be the featured speaker at the Camber Outdoors' Thought-Leadership Keynote at Interbike.

Camber Outdoors is the new name for the Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition. The organization rebranded earlier this month to better reflect its approach to its work in the outdoor industry while encouraging both women and men to advocate gender equality in the workplace and in the outdoors.

"We are honored to provide a forum for Donna to share with other industry leaders and influencers the Burton story of how a strategic commitment to women's leadership as a business imperative over 10 years ago has led to greater brand relevancy, growth, and sustainability," said Deanne Buck, the executive director of Camber Outdoors.

The event is on Wednesday, September 21, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay, South Pacific C/D Ballroom.

In addition to Carpenter's remarks, the event will also include the presentation of the 2016 Bicycling Industry Pioneering Woman and First Ascent awards. Previous winners of these awards include Sally McCoy, former CEO of CamelBak; Jenn Dice, vice president of Business Network at PeopleForBikes; and Sally Jewell, the U.S. Secretary of the Interior.

Camber Outdoors' Keynote and Awards Presentation is free and open to the public.
