FLETCHER, N.C. (BRAIN) — Cane Creek Cycling Components has hired T.R. Maloney as senior manager of OEM sales. The company also promoted Sam Anderson to be junior OEM sales manager.

Maloney has more than 20 years of experience in the cycling and outdoor industries.

"The opportunity to work at Cane Creek, a brand with such a deep and successful history, is very exciting for me," said Maloney. "Throughout my career, Cane Creek components have been prominent on my workstand, at the register, and on the bikes I've owned. To work alongside with this amazingly talented team is a true honor."  Prior to joining Cane Creek, he was a product designer and sales executive at Headsweats. He has also served as a product manager for World Wide Cycle Supply where he oversaw development of the Columbia, Tommaso and BAMF brands. He began his career in the cycling industry in 1993 at Wamsley Cycles in Morgantown, West Virtginia. His retail and mechanical experience eventually brought him to Free-Flite Bicycles in 2003, where he was a store manager for the Atlanta chain.

Anderson joined Cane Creek in 2014 and has been a part of the marketing department responsible for digital media, brand ambassador outreach, and sponsorship programs. He will build upon this experience to establish new relationships with a focus on niche-oriented OEMs.

"While it is an arduous time in the bicycle industry these days," said Cane Creek's president, Brent Graves, "opportunity is where you make it. We believe TR and Sam have the right blend of enthusiasm, fire-in-the-belly, and knowledge to create that opportunity with the great Cane Creek brand and products that riders appreciate."
