TEMECULA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Intense Cycles has hired Drew Engelmann in the newly created role of national sales manager. The new position was necessitated by the growth of Intense's U.S. dealer base over the past 18 months and corresponds with the addition of more outside territory reps, the company said.
Engelmann started his industry career with retailer B&L Bike and Sports in San Diego in 2002 before joining Specialized as a territory rep from 2007 to 2012. He most recently served as Southwest regional sales manager for Norco/Live to Play Sports.
Mike Dettmers, who has overseen all of Intense's sales for the past four years, has shifted to the role of international sales manager, enabling him to focus his attention on the company's global distributor business
