Published December 10, 2015

OGDEN, Utah (BRAIN) — Mavic has signed a multi-year agreement with the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah to be the official neutral race support provider for the men’s multi-stage professional race and women’s race event.

Mavic has provided neutral support for athletes and teams around the world since inventing the concept in 1973. The role of Mavic neutral support is to provide mechanical support to any rider or team that is in need. Mavic will provide vehicles, motorcycles and nine mechanics during the entirety of the weeklong Utah race.

“We are thrilled to be a part of ‘America’s Toughest Stage Race’ and to share our expertise in neutral support to the riders and teams,” said Mike Wilson, regional marketing manager of the Americas for Mavic. “This is the biggest stage for road racing within the U.S. and it’s a perfect opportunity to show our support for cycling as a whole, especially with Mavic’s U.S. headquarters now being based in Ogden, Utah.”

Jenn Andrs, executive director of the Tour of Utah, said: “Our goal with the Tour of Utah has always been to partner with the best brands in the industry. We greatly appreciate the support from Mavic, and the level of expertise they bring to the race with neutral support.

The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is scheduled for Aug. 1-7, 2016.
