BURLINGTON, Vt. (BRAIN) — Burton on Friday announced a new U.S. sales structure and the role for Elysa Walk, who announced earlier this week that she was stepping down as general manager at Giant to join the Vermont snowboard company.
Burton said its new sales structure includes two new vice president roles, each reporting directly to Burton's president, Donna Carpenter. Longtime Burton manager Beth Steele is now vice president of national accounts, while Walk is vice president of specialty accounts.
"We're confident that this new structure will elevate our level of support for our valued U.S. retail partners in all channels of distribution. Congrats to Beth, and welcome Elysa!" said Carpenter.
The company said Walk will "develop and implement the strategic direction for Burton's U.S. sales in the specialty channel. She will also manage and lead Burton's independent sales agencies in the U.S." Walk starts at Burton on Nov. 9.
