WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — Cycling Sports Group announced Monday that it has joined SmartEtailing’s Supplier Sync service. Through Supplier Sync, CSG’s independent bike dealers will have the ability to blend their in-store and online inventory with real-time availability from the company’s brands, which include Cannondale, GT and Schwinn.
CSG’s relationship with SmartEtailing is part of a series of initiatives and investments that will be announced and implemented over the coming months aimed at improving dealer relations and making the company easier to do business with, the company stated in a release.
“At Cycling Sports Group, we are continuing to look for ways to provide greater support and resources to our retailers,” said Nick Hage, vice president of sales and operations. “Supplier Sync has created an industry standard allowing us to leverage our vast supply chain so that more of our products can be found more frequently through the IBD channel.”
SmartEtailing launched Supplier Sync in 2012 to enable consumers to shop through a mix of in-store and digital channels known as “omnichannel” convenience.
“Today’s consumers expect to be connected to information, entertainment, education and commerce everywhere they go and on whatever devices they choose to use,” said Mark Graff, SmartEtailing co-founder. “Cycling Sports Group’s adoption of Supplier Sync recognizes that the majority of in-store sales now begin online with complete transparency of what’s available. It is another way retailers can easily demonstrate that they care about their local customers, making shopping with them all the more convenient.”
