SUN VALLEY, Idaho (BRAIN) — Scott Montgomery has left Club Ride Apparel, where he has been CEO for three and a half years. Club Ride founder Mike Herlinger will take the reins as interim CEO, the company announced.

"I am incredibly proud of everything we've achieved during my tenure with the company, especially working with such a talented staff and elevating our distribution well beyond our initial market of specialty cycling," Montgomery said in a statement released by Club Ride on Friday.

In a separate statement released by Montgomery, he said, "It has been a privilege to work with so many fine people at all levels and to see an idea emerge into a strong brand and family based on outstanding people and a desire to create products for the ride and everything after." He also commented, "this was my first full on start up. It has been hard work but very satisfying and I am very proud of what our team accomplished. Thanks to all the staff, dealers, editors, and believers in our direction, we could not have done it without you."

Herlinger said he has plans to continue refining the Club Ride product line and increasing distribution.

"We've come a tremendous way since founding the company seven years ago and I'm excited to continue building our momentum and success."
